Since the onset of the conflict with Ukraine in February 2022, Russia has been actively pursuing legal action against various Ukrainian and European politicians. This includes issuing arrest warrants for several individuals.
In February, Russian authorities added Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas, Lithuania's culture minister, and members of the previous Latvian parliament to their wanted list. This action was taken in response to allegations of their involvement in the destruction of Soviet-era monuments.
Furthermore, Russia has also issued an arrest warrant for the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC). The prosecutor had previously prepared a warrant for President Vladimir Putin on charges of war crimes.
