Bengaluru: Delhi Capitals (DC) continue having their losing fate after Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) beat them for 23 runs in the Indian Premier League match at Bengaluru on Saturday.
After Virat Kohli (50off 34) expressed his presence with his third fifty this season in their fourth match, newbie Vijaykumar Vyshak and Mohammed Siraj also brought out stellar performances for RCB to win.
Winning the toss, DC skipper David Warner sent RCB to bat first, and RCB posted a total of 174/6, but DC fell in 151/9 after a consistent Warner but fell, scoring just 19 runs. Delhi was so pathetic that they were at two runs and three wickets down at one stage.
However, RCB made a victory after two back-to-back loses
RCB’s debutant Vyshak took Warner’s wicket as well as Axar Patel’s and Lalit Yadav’s to make a good entrance.
After Warner, only Manish Pandey out fight, scoring 50 from 37 balls. But he was caught before wicket by RCB spinner Wanindu Hansaranga. Then, in the end, pacer Antrich Nortje scored 23 from 14 balls, including four boundaries. But none could lead the reeling team to victory. Even the Impact Player for DC, Prithvi Shaw, got a runout. It was his fifth single-digit score from eight IPL innings when he became a victim of a terrific runout by Impact Player sub Anuj Rawat. Prithvi was always slow with his running, and he showed a clear lack of intent opening with Warner.
