Indian cricket captain Harmanpreet Kaur has advanced four places to claim the joint 12th spot in the latest ICC Women's T20 batting rankings, sharing the position with Sri Lanka's Harshitha Samarawickrama, both with 610 rating points.
Off-spinner Shreyanka Patil also made a notable climb in the bowling rankings, jumping nine spots to 29th.
Meanwhile, Smriti Mandhana slipped one place to fifth in the batting rankings, and Jemimah Rodrigues dropped two positions to 20th. Among bowlers, Deepti Sharma fell two places to fourth, while fast bowler Renuka Singh Thakur retained her fifth spot.
These rankings come as the T20 World Cup unfolds in the UAE, where Pakistan spinner Sadia Iqbal made a brief but historic rise to the top spot, displacing England's Sophie Ecclestone. Sadia's standout performance of 3/17 against Sri Lanka brought her level with Ecclestone on 757 points, before Ecclestone reclaimed her top position with 2/15 against South Africa, earning Player-of-the-Match honors.
South African openers Laura Wolvaardt and Tazmin Brits also achieved career-best rankings, moving up two spots each to secure third and sixth place, respectively.
