Ghala Al Hammadi of the UAE successfully defended her gold medal in the Junior 44kg category at the IMMAF Youth World Championships, held at Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi. In the final match, Al Hammadi showcased her technical skills and strength, defeating Ireland’s Emily Hannick by unanimous decision.
The championships' second day, focused on the Youth B (14-15 years) division, saw the UAE National Team continue their success. Maryam Almutwa secured a bronze medal in the women’s 52 kg division, bringing the team’s overall medal count to six.
The IMMAF Youth World Championships, under the patronage of Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, will conclude on August 10.
