UAE President, Dubai ruler meet to discuss national, global issues

On Sunday, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, met with President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the Al Marmoum Rest House in Dubai. The meeting was also attended by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence.

According to WAM, the leaders discussed various topics related to national affairs, the wellbeing of citizens, and the UAE's ambitious and future-focused developmental vision aimed at sustaining progress and prosperity.

In a tweet, Sheikh Mohammed shared insights from the meeting, "Today I met my brother, the President of the State, may God protect him, in Dubai... We enjoyed the visit.. Love brought us together.. Friendship increased.. and souls were adorned by this meeting.. May God protect him, the homeland and the citizens."

Also present at the gathering were Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Ministry of Presidential Court, and Khaldoun Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority and Member of the Executive Council, along with several senior officials.

This meeting follows previous discussions between the two leaders, including one in October last year at Qasr Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi, where they reviewed the progress of the UAE and explored ways to support its people towards sustainable growth and prosperity.

A similar meeting took place in May last year, where they deliberated on current and future initiatives in line with the leadership’s vision for the UAE's future.
