Dubai: Dubai Police’s mobile Ramadan cannon, ‘Al Rahal’, is continuing its tour across the emirate as part of efforts to revive cherished Ramadan traditions and strengthen community engagement, Emirati news agency WAM reported.
The cannon will stop at Hatta Hall on the 4th and 5th days of Ramadan (Saturday and Sunday) before heading to Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) on the 5th and 6th days (Sunday and Monday).
Throughout the holy month, Al Rahal will visit 17 locations across Dubai, bringing the traditional Iftar cannon experience closer to residents and visitors. The scheduled stops include Zabeel Park, Umm Suqeim Majlis, JBR, Bab Al Shams Hotel, Al Meydan Hotel, Global Village, Atlantis Hotel, Nad Al Sheba Majlis, Margham, Burj Khalifa, Lehbab, Al Khawaneej Majlis, Marsa Boulevard, Al Warqa, Vida Creek Harbour, and Al Barsha Park.
In addition to the mobile tour, Dubai Police have deployed six fixed Ramadan cannons at prominent sites across the emirate. These are stationed at JBR, Burj Khalifa, Damac Hills, Expo City Dubai (Al Wasl Plaza), Dubai Festival City, and Vida Creek Harbour Hotel.
Dubai Police said the initiative reflects their commitment to preserving the emirate’s cultural and religious heritage while enhancing the Ramadan experience for the community.
The Ramadan cannon, a long-standing tradition in the UAE, signals the time of Iftar each evening, symbolising unity and shared celebration during the holy month.
