Dubai: The United Arab Emirates is to invest 10 billion dollars in Turkey, Agence France-Presse reported. The UAE administration made the announcement on Thursday according to the official Emirati news agency WAM.
The official news agency WAM said that the investment was to support the Turkish economy and boost bilateral cooperation between the countries. The main focus will be on strategic investments in sectors such as energy, health and food, the agency reported.
The announcement came after Abu Dhabi's Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed held talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara on Wednesday. There meeting is expected to open a new chapter in relations between the two countries.
