The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) has announced the first-ever 'Sharjah Beach Festival,' set to take place at Al Heera Beach from August 15 to September 15, running daily from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The festival aims to transform the beach into a lively hub for individuals and families, offering various activities across multiple zones.
The festival's Water and Beach Sports Zone will feature activities like paddleboarding, beach volleyball, soccer and obstacle courses. The Health and Wellness Zone will offer yoga, aerobics, Zumba classes and sunset meditation sessions. Expert-led workshops on holistic health and well-being will also be available.
In the Entertainment Zone, visitors can enjoy daily musical performances, an outdoor beach cinema, reading sessions, puppet shows, interactive games and workshops for all ages. The festival will also feature a traditional crafts and artisan market, as well as restaurants and cafes serving both international and local cuisines.
Khalid Al Ali, Manager of Al Heera Beach and Al Montazah Parks, emphasized the festival's role in enhancing Sharjah's appeal as a top tourism destination.
He said, "Our commitment to hosting exceptional events not only underscores Sharjah's appeal as a premier tourism destination but also celebrates its vibrant community."
Al Ali highlighted the festival's aim to capitalize on Sharjah's tourism potential, particularly its pristine beaches, a popular summer destination. He expressed hope that the festival will boost tourism activity in the emirate and showcase its diverse attractions.
The Sharjah Beach Festival reflects Shurooq's dedication to providing unique experiences for residents and visitors throughout the year, especially during summer, while celebrating the emirate's beachfront offerings.
