Dubai Municipality set to launch annual Ramadan Souq in Bur Deira

Dubai Municipality is set to launch the annual Ramadan Souq, commencing tomorrow, February 17, and will continue until March 9, 2024. Located on the historic Old Municipality Street in Bur Deira, this traditional market anticipates ushering in the spirit of Ramadan among the local community.

The Ramadan Souq tradition serves as a vibrant celebration to welcome the holy month and draw the attention of shoppers eager to partake in the festivities. The Souq opens with stalls offering an array of personal and household essentials, alongside a showcase of delectable culinary delights.

The Souq invites the attention of a diverse audience, welcoming citizens, residents and tourists to experience the traditional market. With Ramadan preparation essentials at competitive prices, visitors can enjoy a unique shopping experience in the Souq. The mini market in the Souq also provides items used for Hag Al Leila, a traditional Emirati celebration before Ramadan.

In addition, the event will feature live entertainment shows and engagements for children, encouraging the participation of the whole family. The Souq is set to engulf the cultural significance of the festivities.
