Dubai Municipality is set to launch the annual Ramadan Souq, commencing tomorrow, February 17, and will continue until March 9, 2024. Located on the historic Old Municipality Street in Bur Deira, this traditional market anticipates ushering in the spirit of Ramadan among the local community.

The Ramadan Souq tradition serves as a vibrant celebration to welcome the holy month and draw the attention of shoppers eager to partake in the festivities. The Souq opens with stalls offering an array of personal and household essentials, alongside a showcase of delectable culinary delights.

The Souq invites the attention of a diverse audience, welcoming citizens, residents and tourists to experience the traditional market. With Ramadan preparation essentials at competitive prices, visitors can enjoy a unique shopping experience in the Souq. The mini market in the Souq also provides items used for Hag Al Leila, a traditional Emirati celebration before Ramadan.

In addition, the event will feature live entertainment shows and engagements for children, encouraging the participation of the whole family. The Souq is set to engulf the cultural significance of the festivities.

Ramadan Souq showcases Dubai Municipality's commitment to preserving heritage sites and old markets within the Emirate. The significant portrayal of the Emirati heritage is expected to invite attractive investment opportunities, fostering Dubai’s economic growth. Dubai Municipality aims to organize diverse attractions that can contribute to the higher living standards of Dubai and direct positioning of the city as an international tourist destination.

The Souq is scheduled to run from 10 AM to 10 PM. From kitchen essentials to fabrics and perfumes, the Ramadan market offers a glimpse into Dubai's exciting shopping culture.

As Dubai Municipality continues its efforts to boost tourism, entertainment, and commercial activities, the Ramadan Souq stands as a testament to the city's commitment to preserving its heritage while embracing the future.
