Global Village, one of Dubai’s top attractions, will provide free breast cancer screenings for women on October 26 and 27, the venue announced on Thursday.
The initiative, part of early activities ahead of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in November, invites female visitors to receive complimentary consultations at the venue’s Pink Caravan station. The Pink Caravan, run by the Sharjah-based Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP), focuses on promoting breast cancer awareness through various outreach programs.
A similar event was held last year at Global Village on October 28. This year, the screenings align with FOCP’s ongoing efforts across the UAE in October, which include free clinical breast examinations and mammogram screenings in collaboration with public and private sector partners.
Earlier this month, FOCP also hosted a three-day family event at Aljada in Sharjah, offering breast cancer screenings and awareness workshops.
Global Village’s latest season, which opened on October 16, 2024, will run until May 11, 2025, drawing millions of visitors with its mix of cultural attractions, entertainment, and awareness campaigns.
