A timely and well-coordinated effort by the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS) has resulted in life-saving organ transplants for four patients. The operation, conducted with the support of Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and in collaboration with multiple government and health agencies, ensured the rapid and secure transportation of donated organs across the country.

The DCAS teams efficiently delivered the organs to three different hospitals, using a helicopter for swift transport. The Dubai Police played a crucial role in securing the operation, while the National Centre for Regulating Organ and Tissue Transplantation, under the Ministry of Health and Prevention, managed the logistical aspects.

This achievement highlights the growing impact of organ donation efforts in the UAE. More than 200 organ transplants have been performed through the National Centre’s 'Hayat' programme, with over 65 families making the selfless decision to donate organs to save lives.

Rashid Hospital, known for its expertise in trauma and emergency care, has emerged as the UAE’s leading organ donation centre, facilitating over 200 transplants. To further support families, Dubai Health has opened a dedicated ‘Hayat Lounge’ at the hospital, providing a private and compassionate space for discussions on organ donation.

Additionally, Dubai Health continues to expand specialised care for organ failure patients, offering kidney transplant surgeries and dialysis services at Dubai Hospital, Al Jalila Children's Hospital and Al Towar and Al Barsha Dialysis Centers.
