Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia, highlighted the strategic importance of the addition, saying, "We are delighted to add Addis Ababa to our growing network of destinations. This new route reflects Air Arabia's commitment to enhancing connectivity and fostering economic and cultural ties between the UAE and Ethiopia".
The airline aims to strengthen trade and tourism links between the two regions while maintaining its focus on budget-friendly travel.
Al Ali added, "By expanding our destinations from Sharjah, we aim to boost trade and tourism while continuing to offer affordable and convenient travel options to our customers".
The new route marks another step in Air Arabia’s broader expansion strategy, positioning the airline as a key player in improving regional connectivity and meeting growing demand for affordable international travel.
