Saudi ranks global second in Cybersecurity

Riyadh: Switzerland's International Institute for Management Development's World Competitiveness Yearbook (WCY) for 2022 ranked Saudi Arabia global second in the cybersecurity index, Saudi Press Agency reported.

One among the most comprehensive reports in the globe, WCY analyse and rank countries based on their capabilities in creating an empowering and stimulating environment for competitiveness, maintaining and developing it, SPA reported. According to WCY, Saudi Arabia has made great progress in cyber security.

Commenting on the ranking, the Kingdom's National Cybersecurity Authority stated that the achievement was born out of immense support from King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The authority added that the Royal support heavily boosted the cyber security sector with the Saudi Vision 2030, becoming a representation of excellence as a "Saudi model in cybersecurity" in the international sphere.
