Saudi: Baha winter festival kicks off with 280 activities

Preparations are finalized for the highly anticipated Baha Winter Festival, with over 67 parks, gardens and 14 sports and health walkways ready to welcome visitors and residents, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The festival will feature a wide range of activities and attractions across the Tihama governorates, including Al-Makhwah, Qilwah, Al-Hijrah and Ghamid Al-Zinad. These events aim to highlight the region’s rich cultural, historical and natural offerings.

Ali bin Mohammed Al-Sawat, secretary of the Baha region and chairman of the festival’s executive committee, announced that more than 280 recreational, cultural, sports and social activities will cater to all age groups and interests.

Al-Sawat also emphasized the unique climate and environmental diversity of Tihama, which stretches from the Red Sea coast to the Sarawat Mountains. The region’s valleys, lush green plains, and the iconic Shada Mountain offer stunning views and a tranquil retreat for visitors.

In addition to its natural beauty, the area boasts a variety of restaurants, cafes, and shopping venues, making it an attractive destination for tourists seeking to enjoy Saudi Arabia’s winter season.
