Riyadh to host global security and technology summit in December

Saudi Arabia will host the Global Security and Technology Summit (GSTS) in Riyadh from December 18 to 20, 2026, bringing together experts and organisations from the security and technology sectors.

The Ministry of Interior is organising the event in partnership with Tuwaiq Academy under the patronage of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.

Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif said the Crown Prince’s support reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to strengthening the security sector and advancing digital transformation at national, regional and international levels.

The summit will feature specialized programs, knowledge sessions and technical workshops covering cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, smart surveillance systems and crisis management.

Government agencies, private sector companies and academic institutions are expected to participate.

Ahead of the summit, Riyadh will also host the SAIIF global security and technology innovation competition from November 19 to 21, 2026.

The competition will offer prizes worth SR5 million and focus on projects related to artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and digital transformation in the security sector.
