IndiGo suspends Riyadh flights till October 31 amid security concerns
New Delhi: IndiGo has extended the cancellation of its flights to and from Riyadh until October 31, 2026, citing the evolving security situation in the region.
In a travel advisory posted on X on Friday, the airline said services to and from Jeddah, Dammam and Madinah will remain suspended until October 27.
IndiGo had temporarily halted flights to Riyadh from October 13 following reported attacks on the Saudi capital’s airport by Houthi militants. The cancellations come amid escalating hostilities involving the Iran-backed group and Saudi Arabia, with reports of drone and missile attacks.
The airline said it was closely monitoring the situation and coordinating with relevant authorities. It added that the safety of passengers and crew remained its highest priority.
Affected passengers are being informed through the contact details provided at the time of booking. IndiGo has advised travellers to check their flight status on its official website before heading to the airport.
The airline apologised for the inconvenience caused by the cancellations and thanked passengers for their patience and understanding.
