The Consulate General of India in Jeddah took part in the 10th edition of “A Cup for a Good Cause”, a charitable event organised by the AlOula Women’s Welfare Society, held from February 5 to 7 at the Park Hyatt Hotel.
The Indian Pavilion was organised by the Indian Consulate Spouses Association, Jeddah, under the leadership of its president, Fahmina Khatoon. The pavilion featured traditional Indian handicrafts, jewellery, cuisine and attire. It drew strong public interest throughout the three-day event.
Organisers said the Indian Pavilion was among the most visited sections of the festival, with visitors engaging closely with the cultural displays and food offerings.
Consul General of India Fahad Ahmed Khan Suri attended the opening day of the event. During his visit, he thanked the organisers for hosting the initiative and said the Consulate would continue to support programs that encourage community interaction and people-to-people connections.
The program also included daily cultural performances by young Indian artists, who presented a range of traditional art forms reflecting India’s cultural diversity.
The Consulate said its participation highlighted the role of cultural exchange in building understanding and goodwill within the wider community.
