GCC leaders hold extraordinary summit in Jeddah

Leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) met in Jeddah on Tuesday for an extraordinary summit chaired by Mohammed bin Salman.

The meeting brings together heads of state and senior officials to discuss regional security, economic ties and current challenges facing the bloc.




Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa arrived earlier in the day and was received by the Saudi Crown Prince at King Abdulaziz International Airport. Senior Saudi officials, including Saud bin Mishal, Saleh Al-Turki and Naif bin Bandar Al-Sudairi, attended the استقبال.

Kuwait’s delegation is taking part on behalf of Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. Crown Prince Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah arrived in Jeddah with senior officials, including Foreign Minister Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.




 The summit comes at a time of heightened regional focus on coordination and stability. Officials review joint efforts and outline steps to strengthen cooperation among member states.

The outcome of the meeting is likely to shape the GCC’s approach to key regional issues in the coming period.
