The Embassy of India in Riyadh has invited applications from eligible Indian nationals living in Saudi Arabia for the post of Interpreter/Translator.
The selected candidate will receive an initial monthly salary of SR7,200, with the pay scale extending to SR17,640.
The position is open to Indian nationals who hold a valid Iqama or National ID and are eligible to work in Saudi Arabia.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in Arabic from a recognised university. English must have been studied as a compulsory subject during or above the bachelor’s degree.
Candidates with an advanced degree will be given preference.
Educational certificates must be attested by the relevant state government, the Ministry of Education in New Delhi and the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi.
Applicants must be able to translate from Arabic to English and from English to Arabic.
They must also have computer skills and a good command of written and spoken Arabic and English.
Previous experience as an Arabic-English translator or interpreter is highly desirable. Candidates claiming such experience must submit a certificate confirming their work in the field.
The position may also require the selected candidate to provide interpretation services for official delegations.
Applicants must be aged 45 or below as of August 1, 2026.
Selection process
Applications will first be shortlisted, followed by document verification.
Shortlisted applicants will sit a written examination containing objective and subjective questions.
Candidates who pass the written examination will be invited to a typing test and interview.
An Interview Board or Selection Committee will assess each candidate’s overall personality and relevant professional experience.
