Thiruvananthapuram: President Droupadi Murmu is set to arrive in Kerala on Tuesday for a four-day official visit, during which she will attend a series of events across the state.
According to a Press Information Bureau release, President Murmu will reach Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday evening and will visit the Sabarimala temple on Wednesday to offer darshan and aarti. Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) officials confirmed that all arrangements have been completed for her visit. The President will reach Sannidhanam in a convoy of five four-wheel-drive vehicles and an ambulance via Swami Ayyappan Road and the traditional trekking path. Security arrangements have been strengthened, with a rehearsal of the convoy movement held recently.
On October 23, President Murmu will unveil the bust of former President K R Narayanan at Raj Bhavan. She will also inaugurate the observance of the Mahasamadhi Centenary of Sree Narayana Guru at Sivagiri Mutt in Varkala, and attend the valedictory function of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of St Thomas College, Pala in Kottayam district.
The final day of her visit, October 24, will see President Murmu attending the centenary celebrations of St Teresa's College, Ernakulam, before concluding her four-day Kerala tour.
