Yogi Adityanath gets a temple with life-size idol, Special prayers offered twice a day

Uttar Pradesh: A resident of Ayodhya has built a temple for Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Purwa village near Bharatkund. The construction of the temple is said to have cost nearly Rs 8.5 lakh. The idol was custom-made in Rajasthan.

The life-size idol in the temple carries a bow and arrow to portray him as an incarnation of Lord Ram. Special prayers are offered twice a day and followed by morning and evening prayers. The temple also distributes prasad to worshippers.

Bharatkund is believed to be the place where Lord Ram's brother Bharat met him for the last time before exile began.

Prabhakar Maurya who built the temple pledged in 2015 to worship the person who builds the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. He told ANI that he keeps reciting hymns in front of Yogi Adityanath's idol every day, just as he does for Lord Ram.
