New Delhi: A woman passenger has surprised a railway official buying a ticket for her goat.
A footage emerged on X showed the travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) questioning a woman about the animal onboard.
The village woman flashing toothless smile pulls out a ticket for three passengers which includes her goat.
In the viral video the IRCTC official was heard asking the woman ‘Give your ticket, also that of the goat.’
The woman confidently replied that she had taken one for the animal too.
Afterwards she asked her co-traveller to hand the ticket to the official.
The ticket listed three passengers, the woman, purportedly her husband, and the goat, according to The Free Press Journal.
‘Yes, we have a ticket issued for the 'chawal' (goat) too’, she was quoted as saying.
Netizens praised the woman for her honesty to buy ticket for the animal.
One user on X said that the goat is not just an animal but a member of her family.
Adding more, the user said ‘that’s how anyone would treat a family member; consider and treat them equally! There is lot to learn from her! What a mindset and big heart! Her smile says it all (sic)’.
Another user said that ‘such people are the pride of this nation. Simple, honest Indians’.
