Bijnor: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the state hasn't witnessed a riot in the last five and a half years. And this has led to it becoming a preferred destination for investors.
He cited the latest report of the National Crime Records Bureau to say that no communal riots had taken place under his regime.
He added that Uttar Pradesh is receiving huge investments and employment opportunities are being generated. The CM said that Uttar Pradesh is on the path of development and his government is working to build one medical college per district.
The CM noted that his government is carrying out developmental works in various sectors including education, health, and agriculture. Adityanath added that employment generation is a priority.
The BJP leader said that his government will not allow the security of traders and entrepreneurs to be breached. "Now highways and expressways are being constructed in Uttar Pradesh. The state has become completely 'dangamukt', 'apradhmukt'," reported ANI.
He was speaking in Bijnor after launching development projects worth Rs 267 crore.
About the four-lane Bijnor-Moradabad Road, he said he is happy to inform that it has been completed at a cost of Rs 208 crore. "An amount of ₹ 51.81 crores was made available for widening and strengthening of Rehar, Kaharipur, Badigarh, Surajnagar roads," he added.
Expressing satisfaction over the development works in the region, he said the construction of Mahatma Vidur Government Medical College is ongoing at a cost of Rs 281 crore.
He added that the best residential facilities are being built for police personnel. "A state-of-the-art barracks along with multi-storey residential facilities are being constructed in every police line. A women's hostel has also been completed."
