Intoxicated man kills parents with a pair of scissors

Faridabad: With a pair of scissors drunk man allegedly stabbed his elderly parents to death over an argument on Friday, PTI reported.

He stabbed the two multiple times, locked them in their room and fled the spot, police informed. The deceased were identified as Beer Singh (70)- a retired tubewell operator of the Haryana Urban Development Authority- and his wife Champa (62), residents of Hanuman Nagar in Bharat Colony. The killer, their son, was identified as Jitender alias Jeetu (38).

According to police, the unfortunate incident happened at 3 am in the morning after an argument broke over locking the front gate of the house. Hearing the noise, the couple's tenants informed the police.

The bodies were returned to relatives after conducting post mortem, and police registered a murder case naming Jitender at Khedipul police station based on the complaint of the couple's son-in-law Surender Singh.

In his complaint, Singh said, Jitender was addicted to drugs. He often drank alcohol while consuming smack and ganja. He used to fight with his parents every day and also beat them up. He killed his parents in an intoxicated state and fled away."

Faridabad ACP Mahender Verma said, "We are conducting raids to nab the accused while the scissors used in the murders have been recovered from the spot."

Jitender got divorced eight years ago, and he has lived with his parents since.
