Ink attack on woman who accused minister's son of rape

New Delhi: A woman who complained against the son of a Rajasthan minister of rape sustained an ink attack in Delhi on Saturday. The 23-year-old was walking with her mother at Kalindi Kunj Road in South Delhi when two men attacked them with ink, NDTV reported.

Police informed that a case had been filed and an investigation had been initiated. The woman was taken to AIIMS Trauma Center and got thoroughly examined, the police added.

Earlier, the woman had complained against Rajasthan Minister Mahesh Joshi's son, alleging rape. She had alleged that the accused had raped her multiple times between January 8 and April 17, promising to marry her. A case was registered against him based on her complaint in Delhi, and a team went to Jaipur to arrest the accused last month, but he wasn't there at home.

But he appeared before the Delhi Police team on Saturday with an anticipatory bail from a Delhi court.

She had accused the man of kidnapping and blackmailing and added that she made a friendship with the man through Facebook last year.

Meanwhile, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot ruled out actions against the accused's father, the minister, since there is no charge against him.
