"Here is a list of those waiting for the judiciary's mercy"; Prashant Bhushan on bail to Arnab Goswami

Advocate Prashant Bhushan criticized the Supreme Court for granting bail to journalist Arnab Goswami charged with abetment to suicide by tweeting The Wire's article titled 'A List of Activists, Scholars and Scribes Whose Personal Liberty Remains at Judiciary's Mercy' published on 13th November.

"As SC hears & grants bail to Arnab with alacrity, here is a List of Activists, Scholars&Scribes Whose Personal Liberty Remains at Judiciary's Mercy. They have struggled in securing regular hearings, or in having their basic human rights protected, or both," he tweeted.

The Wire, in its article, makes note of those recently arrested and awaiting bail including Siddique Kappan, the journalist who was arrested on the way to report the Hathras gang rape and murder; Anand Teltumbde, Gautam Navlakha and Varavara Rao arrested in association with Bhima Koregaon; and student activists from Jamia and others part of the anti-CAA protests.
