Drunk principal, teacher enter school in Bihar causing a ruckus

Patna: Police arrested the principal and a teacher of a government school in Bihar's Nalanda district for reaching the school having drunk, NDTV reported.

Nagendra Prasad, the school principal, and Subodh Kumar, a contractual teacher, flouted the state’s liquor ban earlier this week.

People of the Gulni village took note of the situation after both of them started behaving eccentrically at the school.

The principal and the teacher allegedly abused the villagers when they tried to intervene. Subsequently, people informed the police.

Footage showed Nagendra Prasad and Subodh Kumar talking to the students under the influence of alcohol with the villagers around them.

The teacher was seen falling on the road from intoxication and officials dragged to him to the police van.

Now there broke out an altercation between the police and the villagers as one of the officers was also allegedly drunk.

The official was later sent back to the police station, according to the report.

Police confirmed that Prasad and Kumar were under the influence of alcohol and were arrested.

It is reported that they were suspended from the school.
