Delhi court issues bailable warrant against Dhruv Rathee in defamation case

New Delhi: A Delhi court has issued bailable warrants against YouTuber Dhruv Rathee after authorities failed to serve him court papers in a defamation case linked to a video on his YouTube channel.

The case was filed in 2018 by Vikas Pandey, a BJP IT Cell member. The court had renewed its summons on October 12, directing officials to deliver them to Rathee’s Gurugram residence. A process server later reported that the house was locked.

Rathee, who reportedly resides in Austria, had initially been summoned in July 2019. The court has scheduled the next hearing for October 31.
