AAP head Arvind Kejriwal will conduct a roadshow in Punjab's Sangrur on June 20 ahead of the Rajendra Nagar by-election. He already held another roadshow in Narayana.
The party is rooting for AAP candidate Gurmel Singh contesting for the Lok Sabha seat left vacant by the current Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
After the previous roadshow, the Delhi CM tweeted: "Did a road-show with the people of Narayana today in the campaign for Rajendra Nagar by-election. Here people are giving us more love and blessings than last time".
Cabinet ministers and MLAs are carrying out a vigorous campaign in various villages of Sangrur. Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema, whose own constituency Dirba falls under Sangrur Lok Sabha, said that AAP is committed to getting the state out of the financial crisis. He blamed the situation on the "anti-Punjab" policies of previous governments.
He added that the current government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is taking action against every single mafia. Cheema claimed that the state will soon be free of the mafia. "The people of Punjab are happy with the ongoing crackdown on land, transport, and sand mafia."
Cheema also pointed out AAP's efforts against corruption and said actions taken against Sadhu Singh Dharamsot and Joginder Pal is a warning to all the corrupt leaders.
