An 18-year-old Muslim youth was found critically injured near a temple in Delhi’s Bhajanpura area early on Tuesday (March 24), and later died from his injuries.
The teenager, identified as Mohammad Asif, was discovered with severe stab wounds near a Krishna temple in the Subhash Vihar area.
After local children alerted his family, he was rushed to JPC Hospital, where doctors declared him dead, Siasat Daily reported.
Police officials said that the body was subsequently sent to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital for a postmortem examination. They added that a murder case has been registered, and a forensic team has inspected the scene and gathered evidence.
Family members expressed shock over the incident, saying they could not understand what led to his death. His father, Noor Mohammad, reportedly said that he was unaware of any disputes involving his son, suggesting that the attack might have stemmed from an unknown altercation and that the assailants could possibly be known to him.
