New Delhi: Popular YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia has issued a public apology for his controversial remarks on the YouTube comedy show 'India’s Got Latent'.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, Allahbadia admitted his mistake, writing, “I shouldn’t have said what I said on *India’s Got Latent*. I’m sorry.”

In a video message, the content creator and 'BeerBiceps' founder acknowledged that his comment was inappropriate and lacked humor. “My comment wasn’t just inappropriate; it wasn’t even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I am just here to say sorry. Many of you have asked if this is how I want to use my platform—obviously, this is not how I wish to use it,” he stated.

Allahbadia refrained from offering justifications or explanations, emphasizing that he was solely taking accountability. “I am not here to give any context, justification, or reasoning for what happened. I am just here to apologize. I personally had a lapse in judgment, and it wasn’t cool on my part. The podcast is watched by people of all ages, and I don’t want to take that responsibility lightly. Family is the last thing I would ever disrespect,” he added.

The controversy intensified as a formal complaint was filed against Allahbadia, comedian Samay Raina, social media influencer Apoorva Makhija, and the organizers of 'India’s Got Latent'.

The uproar stemmed from remarks made by Allahbadia that were deemed “offensive,” sparking backlash and prompting his public apology.
