Ranveer Allahbadia's YouTube channels restored after cyberattack

Influencer and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, popularly known as BeerBiceps, has regained control of his YouTube channels after they were hacked and temporarily renamed.

The channels, which had been compromised a few days earlier, have now been restored.

Ranveer Allahbadia informed his followers through a video update that his channels have been successfully restored. He expressed gratitude towards both YouTube Global and YouTube India for their assistance during the challenging period. In his message, he stated: “Hey guys. Want to update you all that our channels have been restored. Thanks to the YouTube Global and YouTube India team. Very grateful to them, very grateful to you all. Thank you so much for supporting us through this very testing period.”

The hack occurred around 11:30 pm on September 25, during which all videos from the channels were deleted, and the accounts were renamed to "@Elon.trump.tesla_live2024" and "@Tesla.event.trump_2024." These channels displayed content centered on Tesla CEO Elon Musk and US presidential candidate Donald Trump.

In response, YouTube disabled both channels, showing a '404 not found' error message to visitors.

In the video, Allahbadia revealed that the hacking incident led him to question his future as a content creator: "There was a moment when I felt that I finally have to switch to being a full-time entrepreneur. No more YouTube. But God has other plans."

Allahbadia used this experience to emphasize the importance of cybersecurity, encouraging his followers to focus on protecting their digital assets: "I hope this is a reminder for you all to focus much more on your cybersecurity needs. It's something we have been very serious about, and then this happened. Cyber safety is a very serious topic. It's the need of the hour. Educate yourself on this topic."

Allahbadia addressed rumors that the hacking was a publicity stunt, firmly denying the allegations: "I also want to tell you guys that this is not a marketing or a PR stunt. My work is my dharma. This is my faith. I would not mess around with the image of my work in such a way."

Following the update, fans expressed their support and relief. Many congratulated him for reclaiming his channels and suggested that he create educational content about cybersecurity.

Ranveer Allahbadia started his content creation journey at the age of 22 with the launch of BeerBiceps. Over the years, he has expanded his digital footprint to seven YouTube channels, amassing a subscriber base of approximately 12 million.
