Taapsee Pannu opens up about working with SRK as a 90s kid

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu said Shah Rukh Khan was the biggest superstar when she started watching films. She was talking about the experience of working with SRK as she is his co-star on Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki.

Speaking about the time she started watching movies, Taapsee said movies happened to her during her college years because her parents weren't too inclined to watch films. "They never took me to theatres. When I started watching films, SRK was the biggest superstar. And obviously, his films needed to be watched in the first weekend itself."

She was talking on the live show 'My Movie Life on Roposo'.

The Pink actress is excited about working with Shah Rukh Khan and said: "Being a 90's kid, when you begin work with Shah Rukh Sir, you know you have seen and felt those emotions through the big screen. And now, it's playing out right in front of you." She added that SRK makes his co-actor feel like the most important person on the set.

Taapsee shared that she has deja vu moments when working with SRK on Dunki. "I also admire his sense of humour and wit." She added that SRK as a person is the biggest benchmark we have in this industry.

About working with Rajkumar Hirani, she said the experience is too surreal for someone who never imagined being here. "I am not sure if I have totally accepted the fact that I am part of this film although we have shot almost 65% of it."

Taapsee added that she always knew that her path to success is going to be longer because she doesn't have access points in the industry like others.
