Hindu seer criticises SRK as KKR signed Bangladeshi cricketer

Hindu spiritual leader Jagadguru Rambhadracharya criticised Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan over the IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders’ decision to sign a Bangladeshi cricketer for the 2026 season.

Responding to KKR’s recruitment of pacer Mustafizur Rahman, the seer termed the move deeply regrettable and alleged that Shah Rukh Khan’s outlook has “always been like that of a traitor.”

Speaking to PTI Videos in Nagpur, Rambhadracharya also denounced attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh, maintaining that the Indian government should not remain passive in the face of such incidents.

He called on New Delhi to take a firm and assertive approach to protect the interests of Hindus in the neighbouring country, TNIE reported.

He further argued that both the people and the authorities in Bangladesh should be reminded of the contribution of Hindus to the country’s formation, asserting that their role in the creation of Bangladesh was significant and should not be overlooked.
