Filmmaker Priyadarshan has created a buzz by sharing a behind-the-scenes photo from the sets of his upcoming film Haiwaan.
The image features Saif Ali Khan, Mohanlal, and Priyadarshan together.
The makers have not yet announced the film's release date.
Priyadarshan had officially revealed Haiwaan in July. The film reunites Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan. He had earlier confirmed that Mohanlal will appear in a special role. “His character will definitely be a surprise for the audience,” he said.
Mohanlal has completed filming for his cameo. He also responded to the BTS moment by posting the same image on Instagram. He captioned it, “Look at life and the way it turns... Here I am, on the shooting sets of HAIWAAN, working with the son of one of my biggest cricket heroes and my favourite film icon. Truly, God is kind.”
Haiwaan is being shot across multiple locations, including Kochi, Vagamon, Ooty, and Mumbai.
Priyadarshan and Mohanlal share a long creative history. They first worked together on Thiranottam (1978), where Mohanlal played the lead and Priyadarshan assisted director V. Ashok Kumar. Although the film was released only in 2005, it marked the beginning of their partnership. Their formal director-actor collaboration began with Poochakkoru Mookkuthi in 1984.
Haiwaan is the Hindi remake of the Malayalam film Oppam. It is produced by KVN Productions in association with Thespian Films, with Venkat K Narayana and Shailaja Desai Fenn as joint producers.
