Ahead of the trailer release for "Kalki 2898 - AD," the filmmakers unveiled a new poster featuring Deepika Padukone in a rugged outfit, exuding an intense look.
Deepika shared the poster on her social media, captioning it, "The hope begins with her."
The post quickly garnered attention, with Ranveer Singh commenting, "Boom (fire emoji) stunner!" and Sobhita Dhulipala adding, "W-O-W". Casting director Shanoo Sharma simply wrote, "Love."
"Kalki 2898 - AD" features a stellar cast, including Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan, set in a dystopian world where their characters unite to combat the darkness.
The film is produced by Aswini Dutt of Vyjayanthi Movies and will be released in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. An earlier poster featuring Deepika, Prabhas, and Big B was shared with the caption, "All the forces come together for a better tomorrow on 27-06-2024."
Directed by Nag Ashwin, best known for his National Award-winning 2018 biographical drama "Mahanati," "Kalki 2898 - AD" marks the first collaboration between Deepika Padukone and Prabhas. Deepika and Amitabh Bachchan have previously co-starred in the 2015 film "Piku."
In other news, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh announced they are expecting their first child with a joint Instagram post on February 29, mentioning that the baby is due in September.
On the professional front, Deepika Padukone will appear in Rohit Shetty's "Singham 3" alongside Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, and Akshay Kumar. Ranveer Singh was last seen in "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani" and will next be featured in Rohit Shetty's "Singham Again."
