'Deepfakes are disturbing'; AI must be regulated: Sunny Leone

Mumbai: Actor Sunny Leone warned against deep fakes, saying that they are menace. She told Moneycontrol that Deepfake is disturbing for her as an actress and a human being. She said that AI content must be regulated and with Kamoto AI (the company with which she is partnering), they are able to control the same.

On Wednesday, she launched her AI clone, which, according to her, could chat and call with her fans. Releasing the clone officially at an event in Mumbai, Sunny Leone became the first-ever Indian celebrity to have their own AI clone, NDTV reported.

She created the AI clone partnering with Kamoto AI.

Sunny introduced her clone on X, where the clone introduced itself in video. Along with the video, the actor wrote, "I can't believe that this is me. Now all of you can call me or chat with me whenever you want!! For more details...check out Kamoto.AI and make sure you let me know what you ask my AI Clone."

One can ask her AI clone anything, and the answers will be authentic, she said.

During the conversation with Moneycontrol, she said that she wished to talk with the AI replica of Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan.

The launch of her AI clone was attended by the Artificial Intelligence (AI) startup co-founders Toshendra Sharma and Roshendra Sharma and others.
