Commercial LPG prices slashed by Rs 135 on June 1, but no relief for domestic consumers

New Delhi: The price of a commercial Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinder has been reduced by Rs 135 from today bringing the cost of a 19kg cylinder in Delhi to Rs 2,219.

Before the reduction, the price of a commercial LPG cylinder was Rs 2454 in Kolkata, Rs 2306 in Mumbai and Rs 2507 in Chennai. After tiday, a commercial LPG cylinder in Kolkata will cost Rs 2322, in Mumbai Rs 2171.50 and in Chennai Rs 2373.

This price cut is valid for commercial use only, not for domestic LPG cylinders.

During the first week of May, there was a Rs. 50 hike in the price of LPG cylinder.

On May 1, there was a Rs. 102.50 increase in the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder and was capped at Rs 2355.50.

Oil marketing companies organized more than 5,000 LPG panchayats last month on May 1, on Ujjwala Diwas. In the program, in addition to sharing experience, every effort was made to increase customer enrollment with the goal of safe and sustainable LPG use.
