UK robber breaks into home, does household chores like cooking, cleaning
text_fieldsLondon: A burglar in UK broke into a home and carried out regular household chores including cooking, cleaning, hanging out laundry, before leaving.
Damian Wojnilowicz, 36, who was sentenced to 22 months in jail on Thursday for burglary in Monmouthshire on July 16, left a note for the house owner that read: ‘Don't worry, be happy, eat up and scratch,’ NDTV reported citing BBC.
The victim stated that she lived in a ‘state of heightened anxiety’ for two weeks after the crime until Damian Wojnilowicz was caught.
The incident left her wondering if somebody who knew her was behind it and she feared a stalking incident, given the chance of burglar having known she was living alone.
Too sacred to return to her home, she stayed with at a friends’ place.
Entering her home, Damian Wojnilowicz replaced toothbrush heads and kitchen utensils, and put grocery shopping in the refrigerator.
He rearranged the fridge, refilled bird feeders, removed plat pots, moped the floor and left an empty bottle of wine in a rack.
Most important of all, before leaving Wojnilowicz cooked a meal taking ingredients from her cupboard.
The woman later returned home only to shockingly see all the changes happened while she away.
Neigbhours informed her that they saw someone hanging out washing to dry.
However, Wojnilowicz was arrested after a second burglary in a home on July 29.
He was caught after the homeowner received a CCTV alert on his phone about Wojnilowicz walking on his driveway.
This time he washed and cleaned his clothes using the shower and left the hot tub dry, alongside having food and drink at the place.
It was argued that Wojnilowicz was homeless and was facing several difficulties at the time.
