Never told Netanyahu to stop being ‘f***ing negative’: Trump

Washington DC: There were reports that US President Donald Trump shouted at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and told him to stop being so “f***ing negative” and “take the win” after Hamas agreed to parts of the peace deal proposed by Washington. The reports suggested that Netanyahu was not happy that Hamas did not fully agree on Trump’s proposal. However, Trump dubbed the reports false and said that Netanyahu is very positive, according to The Indian Express.

“No, it’s not true. He’s been very positive. He’s been very positive on the deal,” TIE quoted Trump's words about Netanyahu.

According to a report by Axios, Trump made the mentioned quotes over the telephone to Netanyahu. Trump reacted angrily after Netanyahu dismissed Hamas’ response to the US-proposed peace deal, saying it was “nothing to celebrate”, the American news website said.

In its earlier report, the website had quoted Trump, “I don’t know why you’re always so f***ing negative. This is a win. Take it.”

Meanwhile, peace talks between Israel and Hamas were resuming at an Egyptian resort city on Tuesday, the two-year anniversary of the militant group's surprise attack on Israel that triggered the bloody conflict that has seen tens of thousands of Palestinians killed in Gaza.

The second day of indirect negotiations in the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh is focused on a plan proposed by US President Donald Trump last week that aims to bring about an end to the war in Gaza.

After several hours of talks on Monday, an Egyptian official with knowledge of the discussions said the parties agreed on most of the first-phase terms, which include the release of hostages and establishing a ceasefire. The official spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the private meetings.
