Kathmandu: A Facebook live video of one of the passengers has revealed the extent of the plane crash in Nepal that killed 68 people. The video taken just before landing shows disturbing visuals of the plane crashing and catching fire.

The video, circulating on social media, opens with visuals of the inside of the flight and then the view of the city through the window. It shows the face of the person and those near him while the flight takes rounds before landing. A sudden explosion could be heard, and an immense fireball filled the screen. Passengers' cries could be heard after the explosion, which is extremely disturbing.

According to various news portals, it is a Facebook live video of the passenger named Sonu Jaiswal, who died in the accident. There were 68 passengers and four crew members, including the pilots, aboard the flight from Pundu to Kathmandu. The ATR-72 flight crashed on Sunday morning and caught fire near the Pokhara airport shortly before landing.

Fifty-three of the passengers were Nepalese. There were 15 foreigners on the flight, including five Indians. Six children, including three infants, four Russians, two Koreans and one each from Argentina, Ireland, Australia and France, were the passengers. Sixty-eight dead bodies were recovered. It was concluded that no one could escape as the plane was completely burnt.

Other videos of the Nepal plane crash are also circulating on social media. However, none of these is officially confirmed.
