A Muslim women’s organisation has moved the Supreme Court seeking to be impleaded in a pending Public Interest Litigation that challenges Talaq-e-Hasan and other forms of unilateral and extra-judicial talaq, as well as the validity of the Shariat Application Act, 1937 and the Dissolution of Muslim Marriages Act, 1939
