Ticket sales for Argentina’s Kerala match by October 15

Kochi: World champions Argentina, led by Lionel Messi, are scheduled to arrive in Kochi on November 14 as part of their Kerala tour. The team will play a friendly exhibition match against Australia on November 17 at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium in Kaloor.
Event sponsors indicated that ticket sales would begin on October 15, with pricing details to be announced shortly. They also mentioned that a roadshow in Kozhikode and fan meet events in Kochi are being considered, though official confirmation is still pending, TNIE reported.
Renovation work is currently underway at the Kaloor stadium to meet international standards, with officials expecting completion ahead of the game.
Authorities added that the plan is to fully utilise the stadium’s seating capacity of about 60,000, compared to the 35,000–40,000 typically used during Indian Super League fixtures.
The Argentina tour was initiated by the state sports department following discussions led by Minister V. Abdurahiman last year. An official announcement from the chief minister is expected within the next two days.
