Wayne Rooney picks his favourites for the semi finals

New Delhi: Former English footballer Wayne Rooney said that the four team viz. Brazil, Argentina, Belgium and England will qualify for the semi-finals of the Qatar World Cup 2022.
He predicted the list of semi-finalists during the 'VISA Match Centre' presentation programme telecasted on Sports18 and JioCinema.
Previously, the former Manchester United forward had left out Brazil from his predictions, but as the team had a great start to their campaign winning both their group matches so far, against Serbia (2-0) and Switzerland (1-0), he includes the team in his predictions.
Argentina, on the other hand, had a forgettable start as they lost their inaugural group match against Saudi Arabia 1-2. However, they bounced back and won the next against Mexico 2-0.
Meanwhile Figo, the former Portuguese professional footballer who co-anchors the show along with Rooney chose Brazil, Spain, Argentina and Netherlands as his last four.
By beating Switzerland, Brazil has already found its way to the round of sixteen in the tournament.
For Argentina, to find a way through, must beat Poland. With a draw it must expect Mexico and Saudi Arabia to draw as well.
England need at least a win or draw versus Wales to qualify for the pre-quarter.
The round of sixteen matches of World Cup is scheduled to begin from December 3, Saturday and semi-finals from December 14.
