The Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable & Humanitarian Foundation has pledged Dh5 million in financial and in-kind aid to support the "UAE stands with Lebanon" campaign. This contribution was announced during the Foundation’s participation in the campaign's activities at the Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City Dubai.

The aid package comprises a Dh3 million cash donation, along with Dh2 million in in-kind support. The in-kind contributions include 10,000 food parcels, 5,000 blankets, 1,200 winter kits containing essential items, 5,000 mattresses, 1,000 relief kits, 2,000 solar-powered fans, 1,000 first-aid kits and 15,000 clothing sets. The relief efforts are expected to assist over 25,000 families, benefiting more than 125,000 individuals.

Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed Foundation, emphasized the significance of the UAE's ongoing humanitarian initiatives.

He said, "UAE's recognised role in providing humanitarian and development aid to both brotherly and friendly nations".

"These principles have been a constant pillar since the time of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who was known for promptly extending aid and urgent assistance to all brotherly and friendly nations, alleviating the suffering of those affected by natural disasters and conflicts," Sheikh Nahyan added.

Dr Mohammed Ateeq Al Falahi, Director-General of the Zayed Foundation, highlighted the UAE's leadership and commitment to the Lebanese people, acknowledging the support from various sectors of UAE society. He remarked that the Foundation's contribution is part of a larger initiative led by the UAE government, encouraging charitable organizations, private entities and individuals to participate in the relief efforts.

Al Falahi also commended the strong response from UAE citizens and residents to the campaign, which has provided essential supplies to those in need.

"The overwhelming response from the UAE's citizens and residents... demonstrated solidarity with those affected by the current situation", he said.

The campaign was initiated by President Sheikh Mohamed and is being overseen by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes' Affairs and Chair of the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council, is also involved in supervising the efforts.

The Zayed Foundation has a history of supporting Lebanon through various projects, including the Sheikh Zayed School in Tripoli, Sir El Dinnieh Government Hospital, Saida Technical Institute for Young Women and the Zayed Library at Manar University.

These initiatives reflect the UAE's broader mission to support communities in need through structured humanitarian efforts.
