UAE summons Israeli deputy ambassador over Qatar attack
text_fieldsThe UAE has summoned Israeli Deputy Ambassador to the Emirates, David Ahad Horsandy, to deliver a strong condemnation of Israel’s attack on Qatar and the recent hostile remarks by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, led the démarche in Abu Dhabi. She described the attack as “blatant and cowardly”, stressing it was a flagrant violation of Qatar’s sovereignty.
Al Hashimy said the assault represented a serious breach of international law and the UN Charter, calling it an irresponsible escalation that endangers both regional and global security.
She underlined that Qatar’s security and stability form an integral part of the Gulf Cooperation Council framework, noting that “any attack on a Gulf state constitutes an attack on the collective Gulf security system".
The minister further warned that the continuation of “aggressive and provocative” policies undermines stability and drives the region toward “extremely dangerous paths.” She added that such actions establish a reality that “cannot be tolerated or accepted".
