UAE introduces new travel ban cancellation process
text_fieldsThe UAE has recently implemented stricter visa-related regulations. Visit visa holders are now urged to book their roundtrip tickets on the same airline and carry Dh3,000 in cash.
Legal or immigration issues, including missed loan or credit card payments, can lead to travel bans for residents or visitors.
It is advisable to check if a travel ban has been imposed.
For those with a travel ban, here is the online cancellation process:
1. Visit the Ministry of Justice website and log in using UAE Pass. If not registered, sign up separately.
2. Look for 'Cancellation Request of Travel Ban Order' under the 'Case Management' tab.
3. Click on 'My Cases' to view details and request cancellations for each case by filling out the necessary forms.
4. Payments may be required based on the case.
This service could take up to five working days to process. Supporting documents might be needed to justify the cancellation.
Abu Dhabi Judicial Department's new system tracks judicial enforcement decisions and cancels them once payments are made. The system provides instant electronic approval, which is then forwarded to relevant authorities. Respondents can download the cancellation decision via a smart app and proceed with travel, showing the soft copy if needed.
