Three Indian children and their domestic helper died in a road accident in Abu Dhabi early on Saturday, according to a UAE-based social worker familiar with the case.

The victims, all siblings, were travelling with the family’s maid when their vehicle was involved in a crash near Shahama on the Abu Dhabi–Dubai highway. Emergency services were alerted, but the four were pronounced dead at the scene.

The children belonged to a family originally from Kerala in southern India and were living in Ras Al Khaimah. They had been returning from a cultural program held in the capital at the time of the accident.

Authorities have not yet released further details on the cause of the crash. Community members and Indian expatriate groups have expressed shock and grief, offering support to the bereaved family as arrangements are made following the tragedy.
