Sheikh Mohamed orders payment of public school students' debts

Dubai: President Sheikh Mohamed issued an order to clear all debts of public school students, totalling Dh155 million. This initiative aims to support the education of the youth in the country and alleviate financial burdens on students and their families. The order was announced in a report by the state-run news agency Wam.

The initiative comes as part of ongoing efforts by the government to enhance the education sector and ensure that all students have access to quality education. Education has always been a top priority for the UAE leadership.

The order issued by President Sheikh Mohamed covers all debts of public school students registered in government schools until the academic year 2023-2024. This includes outstanding fees for tuition, books, uniforms and other school-related expenses. The initiative aims to support students and promote education as a fundamental right for all.
